  6. frequencies or wavelengths when 
  7. electromagnetic radiations are separated into 
  8. their constituent parts. Visible light is 
  9. part of the electromagnetic spectrum and most 
  10. sources emit waves over a range of 
  11. wavelengths that can be broken up or 
  12. `dispersed', white light can be separated 
  13. into red, orange, yellow, green, blue, 
  14. indigo, and violet.
